Practice Groups
Swimmers will be assigned to a practice group, initially based on the swimmer evaluations (which is why attendance at evaluations is highly encouraged). It is important to note that the head coach determines practice groups by ability and not age. While there will be an effort to keep as many swimmers of the same age in the same group, groups will be separated by ability solely so the coaches can deliver the best instruction and teach the swimmers what they need to learn and work on. If you feel that your child is in the wrong group, requests are accepted (please email [email protected] and [email protected]) but generally are only approved if the request is regarding skill level and proficiency.
Please note that practice groups are never finalized, and with so many swimmers, there is a chance that our coaches make a mistake in assigning swimmers to groups. If your swimmer is placed in an inappropriate group for their skill level, please accept our coaches' apologies in advance, and know that we will adjust things accordingly and make things right!
