This is CJs first season as the Dolphins Head Coach and 4th year coaching. CJ has been with the dolphins since 2017 and swam 4 years at Tuscarora High School; CJ is now a part of the Virginia Military Institute Division 1 Swim & Dive team where he specialized in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Outside of swimming, he likes to learn new things, build things, spend time outdoors, and work out.
This is Nicole’s first year as an assistant coach for the Dolphins. She’s originally from Georgia where she swam for 12 years for her summer league team, as well as 10 years for her local club team, and all 4 years for her high school team. She also swam for her college club team while teaching swim lessons and stroke clinics during the summers. During the week, she works as a molecular biologist in product development for a biotech company, and during the weekends, she loves to be outside with her husband and dog, or reading a good book!
This is Laraine's third year coaching, second as an assistant. She was born and raised in Lovettsville VA. This will be her 15th year swimming for the Dolphins. She also swam competitively for 4 years on the year-round FCY team. She also teaches swim lessons during the summer at the Lovettsville Community Center. Her hobbies outside of swimming include fishing, hiking, and hanging out with friends. From Laraine: "the Dolphins have shaped my life and taught me the value of unity, hard work, and good sportsmanship."
I’ve been swimming with the Dolphins since I was 4 and have spent the past three years as a junior coach. I’ve also done year round swim with MAC for five years and Woodgrove for three seasons so far. I’ve taught swim lessons for several years, starting as an instructor’s aid before moving on to teaching my own classes. My favorite stroke is definitely breaststroke, but I love to swim everything. I’m so excited for a great summer season!
