Who Are We?

The Lovettsville Dolphins Swim Team started in 1991 after the Lovettsville Community Center pool was built. The team is a registered 501(c)(3), volunteer run, non-profit organization serving the residents of Lovettsville, Waterford, and the surrounding areas. Our team is designed to inspire a love for the sport of swimming for children, of all ages and abilities, aged 18 and younger. Proper stroke skills, teamwork, and principles of good sportsmanship are the core goals for the team. We seek to encourage swimming as a lifelong activity, contributing significantly to the swimmers' physical and emotional growth and development through healthy exercise and competition. Our team usually consists of 200 swimmers.

The Dolphins were formed as a part of the Old Dominion Swim League ("ODSL") which consists of 30 independent swim teams in seven divisions. Membership is open to anyone.

The Dolphins are committed to the inclusion of swimmers of all abilities. We welcome all athletes and provide reasonable accommodations to ensure a safe, fun, and competitive experience. We abide by USA Swimming Article 105 regarding, but not limited to, coaching modifications, modified starts, and on-deck assistants. Coaches and parents should notify the Head Coach of needed accommodations at the time of registration or entry submission.
