Hello Dolphin Families,

We’re so excited for our Time Trial meet this Saturday, June 6th! We understand that for many of our new Dolphin swimmers, this will be your first experience at a swim meet, and we want to assure you that it's a great chance to see what it’s like and to try out new strokes. It’s normal to feel a mix of excitement and nerves, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Don't forget that we’ll also be having our Kick-off Party on June 6th, from 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm. We’d love for everyone to come and enjoy some pizza and open swim time together! Please take a moment to check the website and RSVP for the party, as this will help us ensure that we have enough food for everyone.

Just a gentle reminder: for those planning to compete at meets during the season, please remember to sign up for meets ahead of time. The cutoff for Saturday meets is Wednesday night, and the cutoff for Wednesday meets is Sunday night. We appreciate your cooperation, and we can't wait to see you all there! For Mini-dolphins, Coach CJ will reach out when your swimmer is ready to compete at the meet.

Time Trials Spirit Theme: PJ party

Meet Schedule: We have a hard stop to end our meet by 11:30 am so that the pool can open to the public on time. Please plan toarrive by 6:30 am. We plan forwarm ups at 6:40 am. We hope to begin the meet a few minutes early, if possible,at 7:45 am. We appreciate your cooperation by arriving on time and having your swimmers lined up by 7:45 am.

Heat sheets will be available on the event page once they are finalized.

Deck rules:

**Age Group Tents:** We will have tents set up labeled by age groups. Please encourage your swimmer to sit with their designated age group. This helps our rounders easily find and support the swimmers they are responsible for. If you're unsure where to go, feel free to seek assistance from a board member, and we'll be happy to help!

-**Parent Viewing Area:** Parents are invited to set up in the grassy area outside the pool, near the community center playground. We kindly ask that parents only access the deck to watch their child swim. After your child's swim, please exit the deck area to comply with the community center’s strict occupancy policies.

**Playground Supervision:** If your children plan to use the community center playground, please remember that they must be supervised while playing. Your supervision helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Post-meet expectations: Results will be posted to our webpage once they are finalized.

Volunteering: If you are volunteering, please make sure to check in with our Volunteer Coordinator before your job’s start time.

Parking: We have limited onsite parking, available to parents in the gravel section. Parking in the paved section next to the Community Center is reserved for Community Center activities and not for our swim meet. When the gravel lot is full, you may need to park at our new Community Park (12565 Milltown Rd, Lovettsville, VA). You can walk along the paths and crosswalk to the Community Center. Or you can park along E Broadway (where designated parking spaces exist), or along the neighborhood streets on and off Frye Ct which is directly past the Community Center on the left. It is going to be a bit of a walk, unfortunately, so I would encourage you to arrive early. We will not delay the start of the meet for late arrivals, as we won't have time to accommodate this and make it through the entire meet. I apologize in advance for this inconvenience.

Restricted Areas: Please ensure that no one enters the baby pool area. We also ask that you please keep clear of the area around the starter tent and immediately to the side of the lanes to allow access for Officials and Runners. The walkway island between the pool and the disabled access ramp is for Coaches and Officials only. Please also ensure no one enters the water in this ramp area. It is always very appealing on hot days to the little ones.
